iphone X warranty

I would like to buy an iphone X but would like to know if still under Apple warranty. Is a new phone, never activated. When does the warranty starts counting?

Warranty starts on the first day of initial purchase from an authorized dealer. As the iPhone X was discontinued almost 3 years ago, warranty is no longer valid.
