Welcome to Apple Support Communities. We understand that you're having an issue with updating your iPhone due to an error message. We'd like to help.


We see that you checked out some steps that are specific to this error message. You mentioned that your PC is up to date. Were you able to complete the rest of those steps? Do you have another USB cable or computer to use to try to update with? If you've completed all those steps, and you're still unable to update your iPhone, it would be best to create, or verify a backup, and then Restore your iPhone, iPad, or iPod to factory settings. Once completed, you can then restore that backup.
