Delete iPhone number from one of two ipads

We have 2ipads with one iPhone number going to both iPads. How do I delete the iPhone number from one iPad and add another iPhone number to it?

iPhone 7, iOS 14

You would need to sign out of the Apple ID the iPad is using, and sign in with the Apple ID the other iPhone is using. The number is tied to the Apple ID.n


If devices are used by different people, they should be signed in with their own Apple IDs. Apple IDs should not be shared.


Go to Settings->Facetime->Caller ID>Apple ID and make sure it is signed in with the correct Apple ID.

do that for Settings->Messages->Send & Receive->Apple ID, Settings->Account(top of Settings), and Settings->Account->iTunes & Media Purchases, so the iPad is set with the Apple ID off the person that is going to use it and is not sharing an Apple ID with anyone else.
