Pioneer W4500 NEX CARPLAY is glitching

While using CARPLAY the radio randomly shifts to my phone display. This happens in all apps. If for instance I am using WAZE the display will shift to phone controls. Waze announcements are still heard however the map is no longer displayed. Radio also randomly shifts to a different source. I did not have this problem with my old iPhone 7 and it only started on my iPhone 12 Pro Max about 4 months ago. I have tried every solution that I can find on the internet. Resetting head unit/phone, forget the device, privacy and content. Any help would be greatly appreciated as this is making my radio almost useless.

CarPlay is a great feature, and you’ve walked through some fantastic steps to help isolate the issue you’re facing.

Apple Support Communities is a great place to walk through some additional steps. In addition to the steps you’ve taken have you also updated your iPhone to the latest iOS version? If not, you can find the steps for updating in the following article.

Update your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch

If you're running the latest iOS have you checked to see if there may be update for the radio. Reaching out to the radio manufacturer may be a great step for reaching a resolution as well.
