If I reduced system security on my MacBook by enabling kernel extensions then will it reduce my overall system security?

If I reduce the system security by enabling kernel extensions then will it impact the overall performance and security of my MacBook Pro?

Are you talking about "allowing" a kernel extension? This is more of a functionality and reliability question. Software that includes kernel extensions is more likely to cause crashes and other reliability problems. However, if you are being asked to allow the kernel extension, then the software you have installed requires them and it is not going to function properly until you allow them.
