That's kind of a crap answers because it seems to be an apple issue. I can login to fb and fb messenger app from a web browser AND an android device. This message only seems to be happening to apple customers. Do better!
Not to be the bearer of bad news but after 4 days of not being able to login to Facebook or Facebook messenger app, I watched tons of videos and went through every setting on my iPhone 12 pro. I ended up having to factory reset my phone. I am now able to login to both apps. So I think it’s safe to say it was an iPhone issue and not a Facebook app issue.
No. It was an issue with Facebook app on your iPhone for unspecified reason not allowing you to sign to the service. Only Facebook could tell you why their service rejected your request to sign in to your account in their service from your iPhone.

Probably because, as part of restoring your phone, you deleted the apps and re-installed them. Next time you have an issue with a third-party app, try that before restoring.

I have worked in tech support, so have followed all of the usual remedies i.e. rebooting, deleting and reinstalling the [FB & Messenger] apps, resetting network cache etc etc. I can access FB from my iPad and desktop, but for the past two weeks, not from my iPhone. I've backed it up, but am reluctant to do the full factory reset.
So, yes, Apple Support, you need to do better than just fob this legitimate query off by blaming Facebook!!!

True, I can't login also in my fb app but in browser it can. So stressed about this.
Contact Facebook support. It’s their app and service you use and they should know best why you are not able to sign in to your account.
