MAC OS 12 Monterey Boot Camp
Hello,
I have a 27" 2017 Imac Intel and wondered if Boot Camp will still work on Intel Mac older.
I heard it's been discontinued but thought be sure.
Thanks

Boot Camp works on Intel Macs. Neither Boor Camp nor Windows will run on a M1 Mac.
Bootcamp is not supported on Macs with Apple's M1 chips.
From what I've read Bootcamp should still be supported on Monterrey on Macs with an Intel cpu.

If your iMac has a Fusion drive (two disks - SSD and HDD), Windows is installed on the 'slower' HDD, which is typically a slower mechanical HDD. Boot-up may be slow, but once booted, if you have performance issues, check Task Manager.
Neither Bootcamp nor Big Sur have any bearing on Windows performance once it starts.
Windows runs on its own once the computer is restarted, so any performance issues, are Windows' alone and not really a function of Big Sur or Bootcamp.
If you are having issues with Windows, it has nothing to do with the Mac side.
Do you plan to use beta releases for Monterey? I do not recommend Big Sur or later if you really want a stable Windows installation on Intel Macs. There are too many EFI issues starting with Big Sur.
