Impossible to run the java update application

I am on Big Sur and want to install Java. For doing that, I download the file jre-8u301-macosx-x64.dmg from Oracle. I double click on it and it then shows me a window with an icon "Java 8 Update 301.app" in it. I double click on this icon but nothing happens. I see the app on the monitor but with 0 processing time, , 0 processing %, 0 GPU%... It's impossible to quit the application from the monitor (only force quit will work).

Any idea on what the problem is ?

After hours of investigations I finally found out I could install only after rebooting in safe mode...

The same problem seems to occur with other installation packages that create apps which are themselves installers. So the problem may not be with Java...
