After replacing the memory card, are there programming needed .

I have a macbook pro 13 Inch 2009. What do i expect if i replace 2x2GB card to 2X4GB card?

Your 2009 MacBook Air 13in can support up to 4GB of RAM. See the specs here 2009 MacBook Air 13in Specs.

Once you install the RAM successfully, then you will not need any additional software or programming.
