Merge card with spouse

I was told the same thing today. One of us would have to close our individual Apple Card and be added on the other person’s card even though the email clearly states cards can be combined.

Hi, I would seek further clarification from another Apple Card support team member. It is not necessary to close an account first. Numerous community members here have combined two individual accounts and there are thousands of examples on social media such as Facebook, Reddit and Twitter.

While some account owners have faced challenges combining accounts, it can be done. If the tier 1 support person is reluctant to help, politely ask for tier 2 support.

Hi, what iOS are your iPhones on? They both must be on iOS 14.7.1 Please reply when you’ve confirmed the update has completed.

Does either Apple Card account have an active installment plan?

Although numerous Apple pages say this is an option, the person on the phone said it wasn’t an option.

I responded on a separate post that we both have current iOS. No active instalment plans.
