I save my project regularly as I work throughout the day. Come back the next day to find all the work is missing. Lost entire day worth of work to frustratingly re-record the same thing today and after doing that all new work is lost from today as well after coming back to it after lunch. Why is project data not recoverable from iCloud?

Thanks, yeah, I just thought it was so convenient as I have two workstations.
But yes that is what I'm doing now. Working on a local copy and do 'Save a copy as' to iCloud before closing out.
Though Apple should really look into this. I saw other threads like this from 2020
Sorry to hear. I can't answer your question. I can only provide some suggestions for a better future.
• Don't save your logic projects directly in the cloud, whether iCloud or any other cloud-based service.
• Save your work on a physical medium.
• Make a backup (TimeMachine) on a separate physical medium.
• Use iCloud or any other cloud service only as a transfer medium.
• If you still like to use any cloud-based service as a backup, zip your logic projects before uploading them into the cloud
If you saved it on a local hard drive, then I don't understand how you "lost entire day worth of work(...)" ?
In my last reply I tried to say that going forward, I'm going to switch back to saving to a local a copy, that is what I am doing now. In my original post I explained that saving to iCloud made my data disappear.
