Why does this only support few cards for payment methods?

It has worked quite well for me, that is why I still use it instead of another device. However, if the iPhone does not meet your needs, then I suggest you find something that does. Apple does not support all cards for payments with your Apple ID. See this, Payment methods that you can use with your Apple ID - Apple Support
