Screen of iPhone SE shows only vertical and some horizontal lines

I replaced the battery in an iPhone SE - Model A1723 - Model name MP822DN/A.

After the repair action the screen shows only equidistant vertical and some horizontal lines.

I attach a picture of the situation.

The iPhone cannot be used any more.

I thought that some cables to the screen became loose.

So I opened it again and made sure that all cables are fix.

Unfortunately, the result was the same.

When I opened the iPhone SE the first time the momentum while pulling off the front screen was pretty high. Therefore the cable for the home button became loose.

Could it be that also a cable for the screen became damaged (during the opening process)?

I haven't seen this behaviour of an iPhone (and a screen) before.

Do you have any idea what is the reason for this behaviour?

Any feedback would be gladly appreciated!

You broke something, probably the screen or a connector.

As it was not an Apple Store repair nobody here can advise you and Apple Store will not be willing to repair it now it has been opened.

Try one of the "I Fix it" type sites.

Time to buy a new phone. You destroyed yours. The screen was failing to begin with, but by opening it yourself, you voided any service options you would have had with Apple or an Apple Authorized Service Provide. iPhone is not a DIY serviceable device and was never intended to be opened by the user.

You can try a 3rd party to see if they can help you, but I'd buy a new phone myself.

Dear LD150 and lobsterghost1, thank you very much for your fast feedback!

I guess you might be right that I'll end up with purchasing a new iPhone.

On the other hand I would like to know whether anybody has experienced the same behaviour before.

I cannot believe that I am the first (and only) one with a screen as shown on that picture.

So, if anyone out there has an idea for the cause of that failure I would be so happy to find out what that is!

You broke it in an unskilled DIY battery change. I thought we established that already.

I have to agree with LD150. We have already determined you have damaged your phone with a DIY battery service on a device which is NOT DIY serviceable. Whether anyone else on the planet has experience this or not is honestly immaterial. You damaged your phone. Apple won't touch your phone. You'll need to buy a new one.
