when I try to pair my iphone 12 pro max to the vehicles stereo my phone asks for a passcode is that my unlock code for the phone or another number?
iPhone 12 Pro Max, iOS 14
This is the passcode that is sent by the vehicle’s Bluetooth unit to pair with your iPhone. It should be a 4 digit code. If the display on your vehicle shows that pairing code then enter that on your iPhone. If the vehicle display does not show that code then try entering 0000 (Four zeros) as the passcode. Of course, for this theory to work, the requested code should be 4 digits.
If the above is not the case or it does not work then try posting a screen shot of your iPhone when it asks for this code and the readers of your post should be able to provide some useful feedback.
