I can’t sign in on my Apple TV on my Apple TV,but it works on my iPad.

If you have an Apple TV (2nd or 3rd generation) and two-factor authentication for your Apple ID, then you may be asked to type your password followed by the six-digit verification code directly into the password field. Additionally, there is a time limit, after which the code becomes invalid.

Try this: First enter the characters of your password (do not submit yet), then manually request a new verification code, then append that code to the password (no spaces or other separating characters), and then submit. That should help you get passed the time limit.

On what device are you trying to watch in the Apple TV app?

I am having the same problem. I have a 3rd generation Apple TV. Password doesn't work, but does on my Apple Mac. Why can't you just come out with a compatibility document. You created both the Apple TV and the Apple TV+. The advantage of Apple is you are supposed to know this stuff.

I'm having the same issue and enter the information within 2 minutes...still says incorrect password. Any other suggestions to connect. I have been successful in the past but just installed a new modem and wifi network. Everything else works fine.

I am having the same issues; however, I am using amazon fire tv and as soon as I receive the verification code on my phone I enter it on my tv. It tells me verification failed. There were errors signing you in, wait a moment and try again but doesn't tell me what the error is.

I've tried re-logging in about 6-10 times with no success; however, I am able to login to my computer and iPhone with the same credentials and have no issues using the same wifi.

The previous posts were about the older models Apple TV box. Those answers do not apply to Fire TV. You’re experiencing a different issue. I suppose the error is about being unable to reach the remote server to get a validation answer back from. Could it be that the Fire TV device has settings that block certain online communication?

You have 30 seconds. That’s why the advise is to request a new code, so that you only have to enter 6 digits in the newly allotted time.
