I received a i phone 6 S I want to remove the persons account
They have the same account on a i phone 12 it does not give me the option REMOVE FROM THIS DEVICE ONLY
only says remove from APPLE ACCOUNT?

Go to Settings, tap on your name, then scroll down and tap Sign Out. If Activation Lock is enabled you will need the account password.
Will this remove the account from the phone permanently?
It will if you know the account password. If you don’t you will permanently be unable to use the phone.
