You have no access to Samsung Scanner

I have an HP printer but this works on a lot of scanners. Found this thread on reddit from a guy fssbob. BRILLIANT!

I was able to fix this so I can again use HP Easy Scan. Here's what I did:

• In FINDER, I went to "/Library/Image Capture/Devices".
• I did a Get Info on HP Scanner 3.app.
• I added my user id under Sharing & Permissions. (Read only)
• I executed (opened) "HP Scanner 3.app" directly ONCE.

That was it. Now HP Easy Scan seems to work normally.

This helped me for my canon printer/scanner. Perhaps it could work for your driver also?

Certainly worked for me......eventually. I did what it said and didn't get the "you do not have permission, etc" message, but the scanner still wouldn't open. So I deleted the printer and tried to re-install it, but System Preferences couldn't find it. So now I had no printer as well as no scanner. In desperation I restarted the iMac and was able to re-install the printer (which System Preferences could now find and lo and behold, both the printer AND the scanner now work.

You most likely need to download the latest compatible software from the Samsung web site. Be sure that your settings are correct as well.
