When I push the power button I hear a click, then nothing happens…. What could be wrong? The fans also spin once so it is getting power.

Possibly a hardware issue.
If it’s convenient, take your Mac to an Apple Store > Apple Store - Find a Store - Apple
If not, contact Apple directly > Contact - How to Contact Us - Apple
which model-year Mac Pro?
Has power been interrupted lately?
Have you checked the PRAM backup coin-cell battery?
It should measure 3.0 Volts or higher in your hand. Any less is considered spent.
