How to copy a Facebook post on the Facebook app

My iPhone 12 won’t let me copy a Facebook post from the Facebook app. When I press and hold down a Facebook post nothing happens. I don’t get an option box to let me copy nor does pressing down and holding highlight the text. I’ve tried double tapping, I’ve tried a 3 finger widen and pinch and nothing! It’s very frustrating. I have the latest apple update installed as well as the latest version of the Facebook app. I’ve tried removing the app and reinstalling but it still doesn’t work. These are all answers I’ve found already by googling it but none of these fixes work. I did see a post that said saving a picture and allowing access to your camera is a work around and you should then be able to copy a post but not on this blooming phone. I’m tearing my hair out here. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
