When my iPhone SE is connected to apple play in my Cadillac, I am unable to access the internet on my phone. As soon as I step away from the vehicle it works. I have not been successful in problem solving this. Siri works, texting and phone work, music works. No internet availability on the phone? Thanks,

You cannot access CarPlay via cellular network. I believe you are connecting to CarPlay wirelessly in your Cadillac. If this is the case then please contact Cadillac Support and they should be able to resolve this. The dealer is not going to know much.

For your Internet connection.
I believe that what is happening is that your iPhone is connected to your Cadillac's internal Wi-Fi System. As soon as you step away from your vehicle then the iPhone disconnects from your Cadillac's Wi-Fi and uses the cellular system and all is well again. To resolve this, either turn OFF Wi-FI on your iPhone when you are using CarPlay in your Cadillac OR you can forget the Cadillac's Wi-Fi Network on your iPhone all together so that it does not connect to it.

Thanks. I have tried your advice but When I turn off the WiFi, then I am disconnected from CarPlay and am unable to reconnect to CarPlay. It seems that I can’t access CarPlay with my cellular network only with the WiFi. This is a new phone which is why I am frustrated as my old phone worked perfectly fine in the car.
