App Store - Right of Withdrawal
Hey,
on reportaproblem.Apple.com I’ve noticed that the ‘right of withdrawal’ refund option has been removed.
Anyone know why and what to do now? Thanks

Yes you just have to ask via live chat now… no good but it’s an Apple policy not EU or Brexit and the banks will always override payment too
It is called EU right of withdrawal - U.K. was obviously using it until they left so now some companies voluntarily use it but Apple changed their rules as it benefits them. They decline any requests and like people say live chat is useless.
Sadly it is to do with brexit as EU rules no longer apply and U.K. didn’t adopt all clearly even though they said consumer protection will be pretty much copied and kept as it is.
Yes my thoughts too, but their UK policy still makes mention of it 🤔
Yeah I tried to get it using the drop down menu of other and had it declined. Had live chat and all they did was resubmit it, which I could have done myself. Live chat used to be decent but they’re horrific now.
Have found live chat absolutely useless recently. They don’t seem to have any authority to cancel purchases and just do what you could do yourself on the app.
Yes. You can return your product within 14 days. But, most digital purchases are downloaded immediately.
Exception to the right of cancellation: You cannot cancel your order for the supply of Content if the delivery has started upon your request and acknowledgement that you thereby lose your cancellation right.
So, it's somewhat moot.
I tried using a vpn to see if it might work but nothing. Absolutely gutted as it was a very quick way of doing things instead of the hours it takes on chat. If anyone has a way round this I’d be really interested to hear it.
Likely because it is not applicable in most cases.
Yeah I noticed this and I disagree with people who say it’s not a big deal. I think it’s a real loss. My instinct is it might be to do with brexit.
