Apple Watch 6 pausing in middle of workout

My apple watch 6 repeatedly asking if finished with workout in the middle of apple fitness + connected workout. My heartbeat was elevated and shown as being in the middle of the pack and my band was tightly on my wrist. My watch would ask if i was finished with workout every 2 minutes about. In the end it only gave me 4 minutes toward my exercise rings after a 20 minute workout. Very frustrating
