How to check the battery on a Magic Mouse?

I have my Magic Mouse that I'm using on my MacBook Pro. It's telling me that the battery is depleted. I've plugged it in and I'm not sure if it's charging OR what percentage it's actually at. How can I check the battery percentage on it?
