Where did you get this message? Was it a standard Apple invoice email, personalized to your correct name and Apple ID account?

Did your payment method get an actual charge?
If you see 'apple.com/bill' on your billing statement - Apple Support
The purchase history for your Apple ID account would specify anything charged to that account.
