Can I use my daughter's existent Apple ID in Family Sharing?

Hey,

im trying to set up family sharing for my child. She already has an existing ID, can I use this or do I need to make a new ID to set her up as a child?

Thanks

Under certain age criteria you must use Family Sharing to even set up an Apple ID for a child.

If she already has an Apple ID (and it isn't something that may have special criteria such as a school ID) then you can try simply inviting her to join your family sharing group.
