iPhone won’t play songs for alarm

Hi there, I have an iPhone 12 Pro Max with iOS14.7.1, and it won’t let me play my DOWNLOADED song as my alarm. The alarm setting defaults to the basic alarm sound even when I selected the song, and shows it’s selected. I’ve deleted the song and redownloaded it and it worked once, and the next morning it defaulted back to the basic alarm noise. I’ve restarted my phone and it still does the same thing. Is this a bug that needs to be fixed? What can I do to fix this?

Hi Eric, I believe that iOS 14.7.1. Is the most up to date software at this time.
