Stolen iPhone and person knows passcode

So I believe one of my coworkers at work stole my iPhone and I know they know my passcode because at the time my face ID wasn’t working so I had to sit at all the zeros just to get into everything faster and that person that stole it “who I believe did“ knows the password. Is there anyway I can change the passcode after I put it in lost mode. I’ve already put it in lost mode and put to erase but I don’t know what my next steps are if they do know my pin

Click on this link for general information about what to do "If your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch is lost or stolen" --> https://support.apple.com/HT201472

You cannot change the passcode remotely. Since you have set it to erase then if it receives the command to erase, activation lock will still be set.

Erase a device in Find My iPhone on iCloud.com - https://support.apple.com/guide/icloud/erase-your-device-mmfc0ef36f/icloud - "If your iOS device, Apple Watch, or Mac is lost or stolen, you can erase it if you set up Find My iPhone on the device before it was lost."

- "After you erase a device, you can’t use Find My iPhone to locate the device or play a sound on it."

- "When you remotely erase a device, Activation Lock remains on to protect it. "
