I shutdown my Macbook air every day after work. Is it bad to the system? How often should I do a shutdown?

thank you. I got a bit worried after going through a few discussions and videos talking about not to shutdown the system as the boot up each time can cause damage to the RAM and battery eventually. That's what made me ask this question.
So do I shutdown after the day is over. Personal preference if shutdown or put to sleep for the night.
And No, IMHO, it does not cause harm to the computer to shut down each night.
