I can’t get my home pod to link to my iPhone

When I plug up the home pod it dont flash white and i can’t link my phone to it

It takes a moment to chime. Plug it back in , put your unlocked phone near it and it should say set up on your phone

Set up and use HomePod - Apple Support and if you can't set up HomePod.
