We are happy to help with the issue you are having with Quick Start telling you to move your device closer. We see you came from Use Quick Start to transfer data to a new iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch. You want make sure the devices are side by side. You might want to go as far back as you can and try again. You can start Quick Start over again from the beginning. You might have to erase the device you are setting up, again. You might also want to try a different method for transferring over data or restoring from a backup.
