Group messaging in separate threads

I have a 20 person group message. It is now splitting my thread and certain peoples messages are appearing in a separate thread. The MMS and SMS is toggled on. The group had both Apple and Android users. Any idea why it would be separating into 2 threads ?

Cannot group text with Android I recently upgraded from an 11 Pro to a 14 Pro (about 1 week ago). Since getting my 14 Pro, I am unable to group text with groups that contain Android users. I also cannot receive photo messages from Android users. I checked my settings and followed every instruction I could find online and on Apple Support… to no avail. My MMS and group messaging is on. Group messaging with Android users not working on IOS 16 I recently upgraded to iphone 14 from an 11. I am not able to send or receive group messages that include android users. I have already made sure my MMS and SMS are turned on, I have reset the network settings. I can send and receive to android individually, I can send and receive in iphone group messages (imessages), but when I have a mixed group I cannot send or receive anything. I have a friend with the same issue-is this a work in progress that apple is aware of?

Thank you for posting in Apple Support Communities. We understand a number of members in your group message are appearing in separate threads.

It sounds like some members may be replying to specific messages, as discussed here:

Reply to specific messages on your iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch

If this is not the case, you may need to create a new group message, following these steps:

Send a group text message on your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch
