AirPods Pro switching between Apple Watch and iPhone

Ok, So this is very frustrating for me. I recently bought AirPods Pro, and downloaded my Apple music playlist on my Apple watch, to listen music without draining my iPhone battery too much.

Everything is nice and all, to the time that I want to resume my music with button on my earbud. I pause it, and after few(~10-15) seconds, when I try to resume it, nothing is happening, so I am clicking two times more , and music starts playing, but it's playing from IPhone. Problem isn't occuring when I pause and resume my music after like 5-10 seconds.

I tried to reset AirPods, disconnecting automatic device change, even disconnecting AirPods from IPhone. After all of that problem was still occuring.

Second very frustrating thing is that, even I play music from downloaded playlist, Apple Music randomly puting songs that I don't even know. I tried and I have disabled infinity looping (idk how it's called in English, art), problem is still occuring.

Would be glad to have some help here. Thank you all for your time.

DawidWilk,

If you haven't already, we'd next like to have you take a couple steps and test in between. Are we correct in saying that your Apple Watch is not losing the pairing with your companion iPhone at any point?

Restart your Apple Watch and test the pairing and playback again. If the issue persists, unpair your Apple Watch from your iPhone, then pair again and set it up as new. Does the issue persist? Be sure to review this article on unpairing Unpair and erase your Apple Watch as this step is going to erase your watch and we want to be sure you understand how that works.

Thanks.

Hello DawidWilk,

We understand that when pausing your music, your AirPods switch back to your iPhone, so that when using the tap gestures to start playing again the music plays to your AirPods from your iPhone. Additionally, in the Music app you’re noticing that there are songs on your playlist you don’t recognize.

It sounds like your AirPods are switching back to your iPhone when you pause your music. Is anything audible happening on your iPhone during those 10-15 seconds such as a notification?

The songs you don’t recognize on your playlist, is this on your iPhone, your watch or both?

Thanks.

DawidWilk,

Let's consider solving one issue a win!

As for the device switching of your AirPods and music starting on your iPhone despite being last played on your Apple Watch, does this only happen when unpausing using your AirPods? For example, if you unpaused on your watch itself do things resume playing on your watch? How about if your iPhone is not in range? We ask this because we want to determine if your AirPods are losing connection with your watch after that period of time.

Thank you.
