My Calendars weren't syncing, getting a "server error" message on devices, and new events "can't be stored on server" so I signed in to iCloud to check the calendar and get a "Stopped Responding" message and option to send error message to apple and no other clue.
Reminders are working as expected.
thoughts? suggestions?

Next morning all appears to be resolved. Thank you for being on watch.
later .. I disconnected all calendars from iCloud and restarted all devices. Logging into iCloud I opened the calendar, one problem solved, but when reenabled the calendar apps still no joy: "request for account iCloud failed" but Reminders and Notes sync as usual.
