Password Reset
I got a text to “ You can now reset your Apple ID password at apple.com/recover Be sure to do this before 08/12.” From 81961 when I didn’t request it. Is this a scam or a real apple operational text?

If you didn't ask for a password reset or account recovery then I would be very suspicious. I would never click on any link sent to me, I would always refer to an independent source for a link such as going to Apple's web site.
