I have my photos library and multiple home movies located in a hard drive that i wish to replace with a new one with more capacity.
How do I copy the files and photo library from old drive to new drive?

Format the new drive, and then you can just open their finder windows and drag the files/folders
Note, that for large files this might take a while, though you can keep doing other stuff. Firewire was nice because it would let two hard drives send directly to each other rather than going through the computer.
The easiest way is suggested by Keith Barkley - for mat the drive and drag the files over. CCC is a great program and while I was in the biz it was in my arsenal of tools but it is overkill to simply copy Finder files.
