Will Apple TV 4K give me access to Apple+ app on Samsung TV?

I have a 2017 Samsung TV (MU7500F) and the Apple+ app isn't available on that TV. If I get the Apple TV 4K device, will I be able to get Apple+ on that? Or do I just have to break down and get a new TV?

BTW, I've tried to use airplay on my iPhone to show Apple+ shows on my TV but that doesn't appear to work.
