Apple Digital Books and Apple AudioBooks
Why are Apple Audiobooks 3 to 5 times more expensive then a Apple Digital Book?
As a individual that can’t read properly because of dyslexia and a disability I’ve had since I’ve been 10, I rely on audiobooks to read and learn. I’m sure that anyone with different disabilities (from the blind to learning and other disabilities) that rely on Audiobooks for entertainment and learning may also be wondering digital books are so cheap to read.
The other day I found a book I wanted to listen to, in it’s digital form it was $5.99 and I purchased it as a Audiobook it was $24.99. All the audiobooks I’ve purchased have ranged between $15.00 to $35.00. I know that the money goes to the author and part of the money goes to the narrator of the audiobook but I never thought a audiobook should be so expensive. It feels like people with a disability that can’t read are being taken advantage of. Maybe Apple can make their digital books a bit more expensive so their Audiobooks can become cheaper for those people that are disadvantaged.
