Phantom Display On Charger

Does anyone have a solution for an Apple Watch SE that lights up the display while on the charger for a few seconds, and then goes back to the normal black screen? It does this during the night, etc., for no apparent reason. It can cause us to be awaken from sleep. We both have an SE, and the same thing occurs for both our watches.
