Move files to new user profile

Hi,

I need to know how APFS file system handles cut and paste commands.

On our Mac´s we will be going from Mac OS local user profiles to MS AD user mobile profiles so each user will get a new profile on their Mac machine. I have to move all their local data to the new profile.

With Windows NTFS when i do a cut and paste, the data is not copied, but instead only all the ACL on the files is changed so moving 100GB of data only takes a very short time.

Do APFS do it the same way? And if not, is there any way to accomplish this?
