venkat ~ Don't worry, it's normal for the 20w adapter to cause the iPhone to heat up – especially if the room temperature is high. Whilst charging, instead of laying your iPhone flat on a surface, try placing it on its side – leaning against something so that the heat is more easily dissipated.

You're welcome. We're not Apple electrical engineers so don't have access to the data that could definitively answer that question. Personally, I doubt that the 20w charger affects battery health.
