Your iPhone has sustained liquid damage. I recommend that you not use it and do not charge it. Make an appointment at the Apple Store or at an Authorized Service Center for further diagnosis and resolution (I think you have already made an appointment).

Which iPhone model is it? What is wrong with it that you have service scheduled? I ask because if there is an electrically unsafe issue with your iPhone then do not use it. If it had had liquid damage then do not use it. If there is a software related issue then continue using it.
