If you are having difficulties finding an installed App amongst your Home Screen(s) or App folders, you can search by name using Spotlight Search.

Simply touch any empty area of a Home Screen with your finger - other than the extreme edges edges or corners of the screen - and swipe downwards to expose the Search dialogue. In the Search field, type the name of the App:

WOW! Your dock is very big....

If you are doing it correctly, you only need to use one finger to pull down. I never use two fingers. You do have to make sure that you are pulling down from an empty space where no app icons reside.
