Save text messages on the cloud

We understand that you're wanting to save a text message to iCloud. While you're not able to save an individual message to iCloud, you can save your entire text message history there. If you use multiple devices, this will keep them updated across them all. More information about this feature, and how to set it up can be found here: Use Messages in iCloud

One thing to note about Messages in iCloud is that when you delete a message from one device it deletes across all devices, and cannot be recovered. Those details and a bit more can be found here: How to delete messages in iCloud

Another option available is to create a back up using a computer. This will make a copy of your device as it is now. One thing to consider here, is that when restoring the back up it deletes all data from the date of the backup to the date you are restoring from.
