Upload to iCloud

I’d like To transfer all my photos (60GB) from Google photos to iCloud. What’s the easiest way of doing this? Do I have to download all the photos to my computer before uploading them to the iCloud? Thanks

Yes. You'll have to download them all first to get them into photos.
