Help?

I’ve been playing Empires&puzzles for almost 3 years without any problems so far. A couple of days ago i updated my iPhone 6S to version 12.5.4 and now the game closes unexpectedly all the time. I have done the 4 steps AS suggested in the supportpages closing and opening, shutting down and restarting, updating and reinstalling. Nothing works. Nobody else in my gaming community has the same problem, their gameapp still works fine on their old iPhones so therefore it’s obvious that the problem comes from updating my iPhone. Is there someone who knows how to fix this or how to uninstall the update?

please help me :)

You are absolutely correct that this might well be the update, or that it might be the particular install.

After the reset sequence, you’ll still want to engage the app support folks.

The game developers are in the best spot to research this, and to either provide you with a fix or a workaround, or to pursue this with Apple developer support. The developers know the game source code best, what parts of iPhone it uses, where previous reports have arisen (e.g. maybe running out of free storage leads to a corruption somewhere?), and they’ve seen whatever other problem reports have arrived already for the game. Certainly better and more knowledgeable about this game than folks here in ASC can be. (Unless you happen to find somebody here that plays this game on an iPhone 6 running iOS 12.5.4, and that found and fixed this.)

ps: An iPhone 6 would get iOS 12.5.4. An update to an iPhone 6s would get iOS 14; iOS 14.7.1, most recently.

See Settings > General > About for the model name info.

An iPhone 6 or iPhone 6 Plus will get iOS 12. IOS 12.5.4, presently.

An iPhone 6s, iPhone 6s Plus, or later, will get iOS 14. iOS 14.7.1, presently.

If you’re already running, or are being offered iOS 12.5.4, then you do not have an iPhone 6s or later.

If you want to try using a computer to update your iPhone (which won’t change which iOS you’re offered), see the …using your computer section of this link ➡️ Update your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch - Apple Support

ps: if there’s an add-on VPN client app around and in use, remove that app, and test again. Add-on VPNs can have or can introduce various issues, and can cause weird app problems.

Thank you for a good reply, very informative. Sometimes we tend to only see what’s on the tip of our nose 🙈

You also mention 6S would get iOS 14... I have a 6S but when I go to look for updates it only says 12.5.4 already installed?!? Is there some other way to get the update other than from auto in the toolbox?

Edit: searched for my model and found out you’re right. I have the iPhone 6 not 6S. Got a replacement phone through my insurance a few years back. I’ve been fooled because i bought a 6S the first time... so much for trusting "professionals"🤬

Anyway, thanks😁
