finding videos on icloud website

I got an alert in my iphone saying storage full, you may wish to delete "attachments." There was a list of videos I had taken with my phone. I deleted the largest one even though I have been told by Apple that if you delete things off your phone it also deletes them off Icloud. This was several years ago.

Thinking Apple maybe had corrected this obvious defect, I deleted the largest "attachment" which was a fireworks video from July 4, 2021. Then, following instructions on Apple's website, I looked up videos that are on my Icloud.

When I found the video "album," I encountered thousands of videos displayed completely randomly, no way to search or arrange by date or any other variable.

I am seeking advice on this forum advisedly, understanding it generally consists of 2 categories of answers: 1. I have this problem too and No One has ever helped me, and 2. tech geeks getting way too technical This is an OBVIOUS problem that should be EASY to rectify.

Photos are displayed in iCloud in date order and can be grouped by moments (a loose collection of pictures/videos at a specific time). You can also browse your library but there is no current way to search given the nature of how images are displayed and pages loaded. iCloud is primarily a synchronization service.

But, yes. If you use iCloud photos and delete and image or video from your device it will also be deleted from iCloud; first moved into recently deleted and then deleted completely on your schedule of after 30 days, whichever comes first.
