my 2014 5K 27inch iMac just powered down mid session. Wont respond to anything

Any thoughts on what happened. Not a power outage. Ive switched wall outlets.

iMac 27″, OS X 10.11

mid 2011 iMac dead after power outage I have a mid 2011 iMac that would not boot up after a brief power outage in my home. Took the steps suggested by apple support (very helpful as always!), but no go. Unplugged the power cable and left it sit ... the next morning it booted up fine and all is good! Just thought I'd share

Follow the steps at > https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT204267

Then if it will not turn on or startup, you will need to contact Apple Support or your local Apple Authorized Service Provider.
