Exchange a product

Hi I bought an Apple Watch in an Apple store in nys I asked the worker if the cellular option will work in Europe and Israel and asked him to give me the European version of the product - and he said yes

unfortunately I can back to Israel and the cellular opinion isn’t working because he sold me an American version of the product by mistake. Want can I do? Can I replace it in a idigital store in Israel or in Apple store in Europe?

can I sand it in the us and get another one?
