SIM card problem

I am in Russia and the phone does not work with a local SIM card, only with a US SIM card. is it possible to correct?

Only the carrier it is locked to can unlock it for use on other carriers.

You will have to contact the US carrier it's locked to and find out if it's eligible to be unlocked.
