losing power

My iPad is losing power very quickly - does that mean a new battery... also it has been working much more slowly than normal, with mini freeze up as if it is buffering, WiFi is strong

What generation iPad are you using? This can help to determine a lot of what could be going on. Also, what version of iPad OS are you using? Have you tried to do a reset on the device to see if this can help with some of your issues? Depending on what model you have there are different ways to do this. Let us know what model you are using and we can then most likely be able to help you out some. Another thing too is how old is the device? Batteries are consumable items meaning that they will over time naturally just not be able to hold as much charge and will need to be replaced. This is something that over time will wear, but there is no guarantee as to how long the battery will last. If it's still under warranty, then I would suggest having it checked out ASAP as then it can get replaced under warranty if it is deemed bad.
